Oakey Mountain Shelter
I photographed this 8½x11 log book 2 April 2020. It had plenty of blank pages and was not disintegrating. Some type of sticky liquid, now brown, caused the cover to tear, but there is little water or mildew damage inside. I left it in Oakey Mountain Shelter for further use.

In for a brief hike on the Pinhoti. Thank you to trail maintainers Mother Nature's Son and Fashionplate Dan! We surely do appreciate all your hard word! It was so cool to hear that Mother Nature's Son was inspired by our trail buddy Bob Peoples of Kincora. We enjoy doing trail maintenance with him on the AT. It is so cool to realize how the trail network extends to many trails and not just the . We have enjoyed biking on the Chief Ladiga & Silver Comet Trails. Next time we will also bring our backpacking gear & possibly camp on the Pinhoti. We have so enjoyed our stay at Chief Ladiga Campground with our host Terry & his dog Sugar. Happy Trails! Gaia & Rio.
Rio and Gaia have enjoyed our brief stay at Camp 7. We appreciate our hard work on trail mantenance. It is such an honor to have so many nice people at Alabama.
Firstly our host at our camp and his dog Sugar. They are very sweet and kind and ? I am overjoyed with their help and checking in on us. What sweet people his home is Terry Camp 7. Second I was not feeling good because I was dehydrated and longed not to do seven more miles. He was an angel and a lot more people. Leslie Caword is a strong active person, a fantastic teacher, and one of the nicest people I know. A hero, an athlete, orave and likes @ Carraline very much. She is doing a 100 mile race here on the Pinhoti Trail.
Gaia
Adding a huge shout out to Leslie Cawlfield → who is a brave, Courageous, sweet, kind, & loving person. My son was lucky enough to have her as his 2nd and 3rd grade teacher. In a few short weeks she will endeavor to do a 100 mile event on the Pinhoti. We wish her a safe journey! We are sending our blessings to her & her support crew! May Y'all have a safe journey! May you always be guided, supported, and protected on this & all journeys. Blessed Be! ♡ Love to you now & always!

PS Walked up to the shelter from Ladiga Campground. Saw no one & heard nothing but rustling leaves, birds chirping, and the wind blowing. Anytime you can come to the woods and see not a soul is a good day. Get off your phones & simplify your life.
